Feminization Of Our Youth

Given that I am the one who stays at home with our kids, I am shocked, no no, horrified that he imitates Lilly like this. He never trys to shave, or gel his hair, or trim off unwanted chest hair, or pick his nose....no no he does that. But for some reason he has grown fond of Lilly's getting ready for work rituals. Such as this:

This makes me wonder how our men have always grown up to be Real Men, and not So You Think You Can Dance Men, given that for most of history our offspring have been raised by women. Makes a man wonder.

UPDATE ON 8-26-10:
Yesterday my nephew came running out of his room wearing this tinkerbell costume. Then he went and put on a princess outfit. It was pretty dam funny. But I really don't know what to say about it... But hey, at least my kid only wears makeup. A dress, now for that I would have to send him to boot camp. Wait, no, boot camp wouldn;t want him either. Dang.

I used to try on my mom's clip-on earrings. Oh, and her lipstick...

When my son was 4-5 he watched my daughter and i paint our toe nails, so he wanted his done. So i painted his black. I thought his dad was gonna have a freakin heart attack about it. He made me take it off immediately.

I saw nothing wrong with it. My son is 15 now and he is all BOY. No damage was done.

Every generation thinks they are the last real guy. For my dad, he teased me about using a hair dryer. I bet his dad teased him about using soap.

The Horror! Transition to Oh so Pretty! HAHAHA. My Boy shaved his eyebrows off a few months ago. That was pretty funny too but I didn't get a video of him doing it :-)

I added a new photo I took yesterday to the post. I thought it was very fitting given the topic.

An anchor man! Nice. I could handle that.

Soccer, but only because you used black, if it was purple or red he might have turned out all wrong....that was a close one. Wheew.

His eyebrows, off, awesome. Hope you got a picture of that one.

If young girls play with trucks or wear "tradionally male" costumes no one blinks an eye.

They're just kids playing with kid stuff.

Leave 'em alone I say!!!

Maybe it's the angle, but it looks like your nephew is pregnant. Congratulations!

I guess where the viewpoint skews is whether or not you think having sons who end up crossdressing means that they where "Damaged" somewhere in their youth.

As a respectable 23 year old cross dressing male, I can tell you that I was never exposed to older sisters who wanted to dress me up, or friends, Or a over feminine mother.

I just "Was" the way I was.

It's empowering for a woman to take charge and to be more dominant; a role that has been held by men for centuries. But we start chewing our fingernails and become nervous wrecks when our young males start to explore the realm of femininity.
