What could be more perilous than sledding with your 9 month old girl and falling off the back while she takes off down the hill all by her lonesome?
It's not fun falling off the back of a sled as you're bombing a huge hill. But what is fun, is when you dive off the back of your sled on purpose to get a good photo of it. Even when it's 10 degrees outside and you get a snow enema and a soaked back for the rest of the sledding excursion and 50 people are laughing their asses off as you eat a snow sammich. At least it only took me two takes though.
Luckily it snowed while we were visitng my bro in Salt Lake, so the sledding was good. Was -18 degrees in Provo as we were driving through it on the way home too. I didn't even know that was possible in Utah. And we went hot tubbing in the middle of the night when it was 5 degrees outside. The foam on top of the water was frozen, and our lungs hurt. Was awesome. And I think the kids left behind a few digits in the snow.
And in case you were wondering, yes those are 3-D glasses I'm wearing. We saw Tron the night before, and I thought sledding would be much funner in 3-D...

I love this one! Might be my fave to date. How sweet does she look all bundled up?
P.S. I hate the snow. But still looks like a tiny bit of fun!
I love your photos. SHe is so beautiful.
I have been waiting for perilous predicaments since Lacey was born!!!
Lovin' the fact that YOU were the one in the predicament though :) ...I mean, I guess your baby shooting down a hill MIGHT be an issue as well. LOL
That's too awesome. How far did she make it? That's a fairly steep hill.
Great photo! Tron? I didn't think anyone went to see that or at least they didn't admit to it. Was it good?
Awesome.
Yeah katie she could barely move her arms all bundled like that. I'm just glad we didn;t have to change a diaper, would have taken an hour.
Thanks Catty, she takes after her mom...yeah definately her mom.
Dawn I was super excited to finally find a good way to put me in one of these.Of course, technically I didn't take the photo, but I'll call it mine anyway.
james, I know it takes some of the awesomeness out of it, but she wasn't even moving. That sled was from the shot of me falling off, but I took her out of a picture where she was just sitting in the sled on flat ground. I'm a traditional digi phtographer type, photoshop is my friend.) Perhaps I will do a post showing how I put these together, might be fun.
Tron was awesome Laura. Of course, I'm an origianl Tron fan, so Loved it. But I will admit that the story was lacking some depth though.
Isn't it though.
Great shot for the album!
You gave Clark Griswold a run for his money
