Snail Trails
As I sit on the couch editing photos, the kids stand beside me coloring. I notice the boy wiping his nose.
I turn and look just as he bends down to the arm of the couch, pressing his nose to it, gliding it from one end of the arm to the other. Leaving a bright new glistening snotty snail trail behind him. Like a silver contrail in the evening sky.
"Hey! Dude! Come on, don't do that." I plead.
He turns and laughs. "Yeeeees!"
"Hold on, I'll get you a snot rag ok."
"Nooooo, it's fun."
Of course it is. What isn't fun these days.
I barely survived the sickest week of our lives. By weeks end our couch looks like a sidewalk stricken with recent memories of slimy snails. Silver streaks abound.
Good thing is, after they dry a good finger nail scraping leaves no trace of the crusty contrails. What you can't see, can't hurt you right?

OMG!! Gag-a-maggot! Remind me NOT to sit on your couch if I ever come to visit you in RL!!
You at LEAST spray disinfectant on it after you spray it, right???
Dude,
That snail must have visited our house too, 'cuz them trails are EVERYWHERE! Funny post. Great pics, too. Inspiring me to get more images of my critters at play. Thanks for the brief break from reality.

I got those all over my pants.
Nice.
hahaha. So funny. I used to call my boys glazed do-nut monsters when this happened!!!
K.
As always love your photos.
I am totally a germ freak.
SO this completely grosses me out.
ewwwwww
Oh come on people! Don't tell me you never scraped off a crusty ole snail trail before. As if you would actually take the time to properly wash it....shaaa...riiight.
I don't know what's happening to my blog. I haven't been getting these comments in my email lately, so I keep missing them if I don't actually check the blog itself. Must be all the design coding I put into it, messing things up for me. Hmmm, gotta fix this.
Leather couch?
Pleather-ish. Some sort of fake micro-fiber suede. Nice how readily crusty substances flake right off it. Of course, the covers all have zippers, but who the hell wants to take the type to wash it all. Jeebus.
