Whatdidyousay?
"Hey Poppa, what's this for?"
"That's for Dion. I'm gonna put all our movies and music on it for him."
"What?"
"It's for Dion.'
"What?"
"It's Dions..."
"Huh?"
"That is Dions Hard drive."
"Uh...what."
"IT"S DIONS, DUDE!"
"Oh......What's it for?"
This is how our conversations have bene going all weekend. It's not as simple as a 3yo asking simple questions about his surroundings, no. He's gone deaf on me. They boy has a serious ear infection(not to mention puke, soar throat, rivers of boogies, anal retentive tendencies, yelling, non sleeping, and other afflictions) so they are clogging up on him. Top of that he got me and the 1yo ill, so I have a serious soar throat. It's like a a mute guy talking to a deaf guy. We each need a chalk board dangling from our necks.
Later in the day as I sit on the couch with my favorite addiction...
"Jay, what are you doing?" Yes, the boy calls me by my name.
"Downloading movies off Piratebay."
"What?"
"Getting some movies."
"What did you say," he asked. But it sounds more like one continuos word, like saying watchyamacallit.
"Getting some cool movies for you."
"Huh?"
"Movies!"
He leans in closer, straining to hear, as if I am telling him a super secret, secret. "Uhm. What?"
"STEALING MOVIES OFF THE NET FOR YOU TO WATCH!" I yell just as my mom stops by after church and peeps her head in the front window. "Hellloooooooo...."

Piratebay, you say? I find myself intrigued, and wish to subscribe to your newsletter.
We have Netflix streamed over our Wii (at least until the Blueray player gets here later this week, which also does Netflix but will do it at 1080p (I hope) while hard-wired into our router, as opposed to the Wii's 480p over its slower wifi connection) er...where was I? Oh, yes, streaming Netflix over the Wii. So we have Netflix streamed...over...our Wii..I just said that, didn't I? Oh, yes, now I remember where I was going with this. I'm a little perturbed that many of the movies I want to watch on Netflix I cannot. It's like Netflix have asked if I'd like some pie, then given me a packet of graham crackers, a couple of granny smith apples, and a cinnamon stick.
Sure, I have that one physical DVD they send me when I return the last one, but in the meantime there's Zatoichi and....wait, no. Not Available. Ooh, how about Heat? Pacino and De Niro (& that Kilmer guy). A winning combination (but with a lot less Charlie Sheen). No. Not Available. Ronin? Not available. Bourne Identity? Not Available. Yes, I have one DVD, and streaming movies, but it's like they've deliberately nerfed the streaming service so I'll upgrade my physical DVD plan and give them more money. What I liked about the idea of the streaming service was not having to wait for the DVDs to arrive, but being able to watch whatever movie I want to watch, whenever I want to watch them. Except I can't.
So...Piratebay, you say? Please, tell me more...
Sup, Surfer Jay.
Bounced over from Daddy Geek Boy.
Laughed throughout the post.
Especially the ill timed mother visit.
I got a buddy that's a strict no rated "R" rule kinda guy, but pirates movies and software like a Jack Sparrow. Figure THAT one out.
Great post.

Man, I hear you.. Its like the anthem of a 3-y-o, "whatdidusay" Thats what my kid says all day long as well. Oh well, glad to know somebody else is going through this like I am. Take care.
Piratebay? Never heard of it. Or Mac the Ripper, or Handbrake.
Never heard of any of them.
My email has not been receiving the comments here...lame. Must be all the coding I have in my blog layout combined with bloggers updates...
Yeah I've never heard of DVDFab either.
Yeah Kevin, I don't know who ever came up with terrible twos, because at nearly three, I think it's only now begginning.
Yeah Jason, that buddy of yours could easily be one of my brothers.
Cap'n. Google is your friend. Do a search. I do not condone nor endorse the use of Pirates. Arghhh.
I thought it was just me no one was listening to.
