It Feels Like A Ball Poppa
'George sat on the bench and looked around. Next to him on the ground was a bucket full of balls. George reached in and took one out.' I was reading to W-Dirt as I stopped and noticed he was scratching himself, or something like that.
"What are you doing dude?' He was oblivous, so I continued reading.
'It fit in his hand just right, like the apple he'd had for a snack.' I peared down again and W-Dirt was still groping his nuggets.
'George took another ball. And another.'
"Yo Dirt, what are you doing?" I stressed.
"Nothing."
"Well, stop doing that."
"No, it feels...it feels like a ball poppa."
"Oh. Yeah maybe. But stop it anyway." He stopped so I continued reading again.
'Look,' a boy said. 'That monkey is juggling!' The boy took a ball from the cage and tossed it to Gearge,...'
"Dude, what are you doing?"
"It's a ball poppa. It's a ball." He said as he very handily inspected his nuggets.
"I know, but you don't need to hold on to 'em." And uhh, keep it to yourself for now.
'George climbed up onto the firetruck to get it....' I continued.

Ah, when boys discover their bits--so magical...and so constant. Finally I just had to say to my son; DO THAT IN YOUR ROOM.
